Good Samaritan Prevents Flames from Spreading in Los Angeles County

The resident spotted the burning van at the foothills of the bone-dry Santa Susana Mountains.

A Good Samaritan jumped into action when he spotted a van burning in the foothills of the bone-dry Santa Susana Mountains.

The man used his water tender to hose off trees and the vehicle in an effort to keep flames from moving into the forest.

Fire crews arrived about eight minutes later and worked to douse and smother the fire, according to the Longview News-Journal.
